I love life. I love to laugh, and just like Buddy the Elf, “smiling is my favorite.” I am 16 years old and a complete grandma-driver (which means my friends make fun of me for actually going the speed limit instead of speeding). Singing is my favorite thing to do.
One of my favorite things to randomly start singing is “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!” Because we all need a little Finding Nemo in our lives.
I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember, and I have such great memories of giving my family “concerts” with obnoxious toy instruments all the time when I was younger. Speaking of my family, I have six OUTSTANDING siblings, and the most amazing parents ever. I love my family so so so so much and I am so blessed to have them all.
I also like to play piano and write songs. To me, writing a song is a beautiful way to express what you believe, what you’re thinking, or how you feel at a certain moment or about a certain topic. It’s a way to inspire. If someone asked me what my favorite thing about music is, I would say that it’s the feeling of complete elation and wonder when you hear a song and you can put yourself inside of it. When you can feel every emotion the song is conveying and you want to cry happy tears and sad ones all at the same time. It’s really magical, actually.
I like the word shindig. It’s really fun to say, you should try it. I like coming up with my own expressions instead of using the normal ones like “wow” or “oh my” that everyone uses all the time.
I like finding the amazing part of the little things that aren’t often thought about. I really love people, and warm hugs, just like Olaf.
Worship leading is another awesome part of my life, that I am so thankful to have the opportunity to do.
I also like to keep in touch with my fans. I say sometimes: “You can’t have a concert without someone who comes to watch.” Well technically you probably could, but it wouldn’t be any fun at all. So thank you to all the people who make life more fun, and go out of their way to be kind. I’m homeschooled, and I have been for my entire school career. The first thing people usually ask when I tell them that I’m homeschooled is “Do you like it?” And the answer is yes. If you ask me, homeschooling rocks. And you know what else rocks? Cheese. Mozzarella cheese IS the bomb. And I want to tell you just one more thing that rocks. Jake from State Farm. Just kidding! What I was going to say was this: YOU rock. Being different is cool, so don’t be afraid to be you. You’re the only you there will ever be. So go change the world. The “you” way.
Thank you so much for reading!
